William J. GlucksmanFamily Law Attorney

Mr. Glucksman was recognized as the Family Law Person of the Year for 2020 by the Southern California Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML). Mr. Glucksman’s early established work ethic, leadership skills and competitive edge were developed as a member of the UCLA Freshman Basketball team under Coach John Wooden.
Mr. Glucksman earned his B.A. degree from UCLA in 1973. Mr. Glucksman received his law degree from Southwestern University School of Law in 1976, where he was a director of the school-sponsored legal aid clinic. As a law student, Mr. Glucksman successfully argued before the California Court of Appeal and has been appellate counsel on published decisions.
Mr. Glucksman is a Certified Family Law Specialist as certified by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization, and a member of the Association of Certified Family Law Specialists (ACFLS). Mr. Glucksman is a Fellow of the AAML and has served on the Board of Governors of this highly respected national organization. Mr. Glucksman is a Past-President of the Southern California Chapter of the AAML, and also currently serves as legal counsel for the Chapter.
Mr. Glucksman is also a Fellow and former Assistant Treasurer of the International Academy of Family Lawyers (IAFL). He currently serves as Treasurer of the USA Chapter of the IAFL. For many years, Mr. Glucksman has been listed in “The Best Lawyers in America,” “Super Lawyers,” National Registry, “Who’s Who”, and other such registries. Mr. Glucksman is cited as one of the top attorneys in the State of California. Following an apprenticeship with Hollywood icon Marvin Mitchelson, and a successful lengthy partnership with Stephen A. Kolodny and Ronald W. Anteau, in mid-2020, Mr. Glucksman founded Glucksman Law Group.
Mr. Glucksman has served on the Board of Trustees of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and is a Past Chair of the Family Law Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Mr. Glucksman is also a member of the Family Law Sections of the American Bar Association, the California State Bar Association, and the Beverly Hills Bar Association (BHBA). Mr. Glucksman is a member of the Bar of the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Glucksman has served as a Judge Pro Tem in the Los Angeles Superior Court and has served for many years on the Los Angeles Superior Court Family Law Mediation Panel. Between 2003 and 2006, Mr. Glucksman served on the Family Law Advisory Commission of the State Bar of California. Mr. Glucksman served on the Board of Directors of the Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law, and also previously served on the Board of Trustees of a West Los Angeles Synagogue.
Mr. Glucksman has concentrated his practice in Family Law and is an experienced civil litigator in the areas of non-marital cohabitation, domestic violence, and other domestic torts. In 1999, Larry King, in his then nationally syndicated column, referred to Mr. Glucksman as the “palimony maven.” Mr. Glucksman has been specially admitted to numerous states around the country, including Colorado, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Florida, Ohio, Michigan and Nevada, to handle complex family law matters. He has testified outside California as an expert witness on California marital and non-marital domestic relations law.
